Truck Driver - Local

Job Summary 

The Truck Driver ensures materials, including eggs, are transported to Forsman Farms company locations. This role is also responsible for basic vehicle maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip inspections on tractor and trailers
• Routine maintenance checks after trips. This may include tire pressures, fluids levels, brakes, lights, and other essential components to ensure the truck is in safe working condition
• Operate vehicle safely, obeying traffic laws and regulations, and adhering to company policies, procedures, and biosecurity measures
• Safely transport materials from the plant to the farms, and eggs from the farms to the plant. Plan routes effectively, considering weather conditions and road conditions
• Secure loads properly, following all safety protocols, and be vigilant for potential hazards, security and biosecurity threats
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and make educated decisions based on company policies and regulations
• Keep accurate records of activities and documentation required by regulatory agencies and company policies

Qualifications

• Safe driving record
• Must have valid Minnesota Class A CDL driver’s license and current health card
• Keen attention to detail
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain a current health card
