Position Specifics:

Reports To:  Store Manager and Service Manager or Freight Manager

Supervises:  None

FLSA Code:  Nonexempt

                                                                        

Purpose: 

Operates vehicles to transport equipment for the dealership.    

 

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Transports equipment to/from customers and/or between dealer facilities
  2. Hauling wide loads daily
  3. Responsible for most loading and unloading of all equipment during pick-up/delivery
  4. Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
  5. Must obey all regulations of the road including local, state, and federal
  6. Maintains records of pickup and deliveries and obtains necessary signatures and receipts
  7. Maintains all required certifications in line with DOT, OSHA and company policy 
  8. Accounts for all time and for all distance traveled in performing assigned duties
  9. Work with management to ensure positive customer experience
  10. Other duties as assigned

 

 

Job Requirements:

  1. 1+ years experience as semi-trailer truck operator is required
  2. CDL License mandatory
  3. Excellent driving record
  4. Experience loading and unloading heavy equipment is preferred
  5. Must maintain a good driving record in compliance with company Motor Vehicle Records criteria throughout employment
  6. Ability to focus and stay alert and drive for long periods of time
  7. Ability to lift items weighing upwards to 75 lbs. repeatedly
  8. High School diploma or equivalent experience
  9. Hours can vary, and at times will be out overnight

Pay Information:

The hourly pay range for this position is $19 to $27. This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base hourly wage for this role. Based on factor such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.


In Season Hours : Monday-Friday 7am-5pm , Saturday 7am-12pm (rotation) / Hours will vary with this position.
Off Season/Winter Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-5pm / Hours will vary with this position.
*Off season hours are from November-March. Start and end date to winter hours is dependent on year and subject to change.*
