Position Summary:Β The Truck Driver performs a variety of tasks related to day-to-day farm transportation activities, including spotting/moving trailers, pickups, and deliveries. Primary duties include transporting feed, livestock, and equipment while following all Company safety policies and applicable state and federal transportation regulations. This position may also assist with washing trucks and trailers and performing light maintenance.
Timely transportation of product from origin to destination as assigned.
Assist in verifying accuracy of load contents upon departure and delivery.
Ensure all administrative paperwork concerning delivery orders is accurate, available for inspection, and accompanies each shipment.
Represent the Company professionally through safe driving practices and courteous communication.
Maintain required records for compliance, including logs, fuel receipts, mileage records, and other documentation as required by law and Company policy.
Abide by all Company safety policies and applicable state and federal transportation regulations.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations, handle receipts, read maps and road signs, and maintain logs.
Ability to follow established procedures while maintaining safety and compliance as top priorities.
Working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems.
Skill in maneuvering vehicles in challenging conditions such as heavy traffic, inclement weather, or tight loading areas.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to maintain professional, cooperative relationships with coworkers and customers.
Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Valid driverβs license required; CDL Class A is preferred but not required (eligible farm-vehicle exemptions apply).
Ability to obtain or maintain a valid DOT medical card (required).
High school diploma or GED.
2+ years of verifiable driving experience with vans/reefers preferred.
Tanker endorsement is a plus.
