How Long is Orientation
β’ Onsite training classes are currently scheduled & full through the end of June 2025.

Online Orientation & P/E Drug Screening
β’ This portion generally takes drivers 2.5β3 hrs to complete (online).
β’ Consists of approximately 31β32 online tasks including:
β’ Upload of CDL/Medical Card/SS card
β’ Review/acceptance of BTC policies
β’ Recurrent HM training videos
β’ All drivers must complete this task regardless of whether they are onboarding for a HM position (per FMCSA regulation).
Following Completion of Online Orientation
β’ Applicants attend onsite training either in Jacksonville FL (dry bulk fleets) or Fenton MO (liquid fleets).
β’ This 5-day onsite component includes:
β’ 1.5β2 days of classroom
β’ Standard driver road test
β’ Introduction to pneumatic or liquid tank equipment
β’ Initial training start
Following Completion of Onsite Training
β’ Applicants complete additional road training.
Dry Bulk Drivers
β’ Return to their home terminal to complete 5β7 days of road training.
Liquid Drivers
β’ Depending on fleet & domicile, they will either remain in the Greater STL area to complete 1β2 weeks of mandatory road training (regardless of experience) or return to their home terminal to complete mandatory road training.
Liquid Driver Experience Requirements
β’ Minimum 6 mos previous verified recent t/t liquid tanker experience β must complete 1 week of road training
β’ Minimum 24+ mos previous verified t/t experience (DV/Reefer/FB) β no previous liquid tanker experience β must complete 2 weeks of road training
