Operate transportation equipment for pick-up and delivery of machinery to jobsites. Operate trucks with lowboy double drop or flip tail trailers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Operate, load, and unload equipment to be hauled.
Ensure that all loads are properly prepared, loaded and secured before the vehicle proceeds from each site. Personally check and inspect the load. Perform a thorough check of the truck before and after each stop.
Properly secure any loose timbers and ramps with chains when in transit. Personally remove and put away chains or straps when unloading. Prepare before and stow away after each trip, the vehicle, trailer, and all auxiliary equipment such as chains, straps, blocks, and gear.
Comply with all DOT, State and local traffic and highway laws, rules, and regulations. Safely operate all equipment in compliance with all legal weight and load size limits.
Take pictures of all machines before and after transport.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain company equipment by checking fuel, oil, water, tires, etc on truck and equipment before starting. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily or as needed, equipment should be kept clean and maintained. Report hauling equipment operation trouble to management immediately.
Keep driverβs license and required CDL and all endorsements current. Notify supervisor of any driver license problems within one day.
Ensure all required paperwork is properly completed within applicable time deadlines.
As requested by management, employees must be willing to work extra hours and days up to the limit permissible DOT limits.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Clean, current driving and safety record for the past 12 months.
Must have current valid Class A CDL with no restrictions.
Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
