This position begins as an on-call CDL Class A Salt Truck Driver during the winter season and transitions into a full-time Landscape Truck Driver role in April. SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Truck Driver will be responsible for transporting as well as loading and unloading material and equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Hauling materials in and out of job sites
- Taking materials to the dump
- Moving machinery from job site to job site
- Review load list and visually check skids, carts and pallets to be loaded
- Determine trailer space versus material to be loaded for proper load distribution
- Load and unload trucks and check weight
- Secure load to prevent damage and shifting
- Upon completion of loading, distribute all necessary paperwork
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate and upkeep minimal maintenance on all equipment
- Upholds to all safety standards, at all times
- All other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 21 years of age
- Have a valid Class A CDL
- Must have a valid DOT medical card
- Experience operating 18-speed transmissions preferred
- Must be able to operate a CMV with a manual transmission
- Must have experience hauling and operating track loaders and excavators
- Must have experience operating heavy loaders
- Must have a clean driving record
