Job Summary:


 We are seeking a skilled CDL Class A Driver with Air Brake Endorsement to join our team. This role involves transporting heavy equipment and machinery safely and efficiently using lowboy trailers. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy haul operations, knowledge of DOT regulations, and the ability to perform pre-trip inspections and secure loads properly. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate CDL Class A vehicles with air brake systems for heavy haul transport.
  • Safely load, secure, and transport oilfield and industrial equipment using lowboy trailers.
  • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Maintain accurate logs and documentation for all hauls.
  • Adhere to company safety standards and industry best practices.
  • Managing fuel usage effectively and ensuring equipment adequately fueled.
  • Utilizing GPS and other field technology provided by the company to navigate routes.
  • Appropriately and securely loading, fastening, and unloading a variety of heavy equipment in a safe manner.
  • The ability to effectively handle multiple requests throughout a workday or week, and to efficiently and optimally coordinate daily and weekly schedules by inquiring about requirements and distinguishing between essential needs and optional preferences.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Proven experience as a driver with skills in hauling with a lowboy trailer and loading/unloading equipment. 
  • Willingness to learn, take direction, and physically able to perform assigned work.
  • Knowledge and experience in securing loads properly and loading/unloading construction equipment.
  • Professional demeanor and collaboration with supervisors.
  • Basic knowledge of oilfield, trucking, and logistics operations.

 

Education & Experience:

Basic

    • Valid CDL Class A license with Air Brake Endorsement (required).
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in heavy haul or lowboy trailer operations.
    • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance.
    • Ability to work in oilfield and industrial environments.
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

    Physical Requirements

Proficiency in manual and finger dexterity, as well as hand-eye coordination, is essential for operating industrial equipment. The position also necessitates a full range of bodily movements, including handling and lifting. The employee must be capable of repeatedly lifting and/or moving objects weighing up to 65 pounds without assistance. Adequate visual acuity, hearing, speaking, reading, and writing skills are imperative to safely execute all required tasks.

     

    Work Environment

    The workplace is marked by high levels of noise and primarily takes place outdoors, with occasional work at client locations or job sites. Employees may face difficult weather conditions, such as severe or adverse weather. They are exposed to moving machinery, vehicles, equipment, as well as proximity to electrical and dangerous substances. This role typically involves extended work hours and frequent weekend shifts.
