Job title: ONE TON DRIVER

Work Location: SALES OFFICE

Shift: SALES DISTRIBUTION HOURS

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Load and unload vehicles by hand or by use of hand truck or forklift
• Pad, stack, and secure items in position on truck to prevent damage during shipment
• Deliver and stack material on customer’s premises or job site and collects payment or obtains receipt for goods
• Clean and perform maintenance on truck, tools, trailers, and other equipment
• Perform other routine duties such as general housekeeping of premises
• Inspect machines and equipment and direct workers engaged in maintenance and repair work
• Maintain positive relationship with customer contact
• Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications
• Work at different workstations as production needs require
• Promote team effort in helping each other. This will increase the performance levels of all in supplying a high standard of satisfactory service to the customer
• Always promotes safety first and assists in maintaining housekeeping requirements on the premises
• Maintain a positive cooperative working relationship with customers, community and those persons superior or subordinate to this position, as well as peers
• CDL is a plus **

 Qualification Requirements:

•  Must have clean driving record
• Verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal employees and external customers
•  Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices  

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combi- nation of education and experience.
