Orientation

Paid Orientation
• Online orientation completion & hire: $200 (on 1st check Fri/week following hire)
• Onsite training: $120/day Jacksonville or Fenton
• Road training:
   • Dry Bulk: $120/day
   • Liquid: $120/day – Week 1 on the truck/road training
   • $200/day – Week 2 on the truck/road training

How Long is Orientation
• Onsite training classes are currently scheduled & full through the end of June 2025.
• Next onsite training availability will be week of 07/07/25.

Online Orientation & P/E Drug Screening
• This portion generally takes drivers 2.5–3 hrs to complete (online).
• Consists of approximately 31–32 online tasks including:
   • Upload of CDL/Medical Card/SS card  
   • Review/acceptance of BTC policies  
   • Recurrent HM training videos  
• All drivers must complete this task regardless of whether they are onboarding for a HM position (per FMCSA regulation).

Following Completion of Online Orientation
• Applicants attend onsite training either in Jacksonville FL (dry bulk fleets) or Fenton MO (liquid fleets).
• This 5-day onsite component includes:
   • 1.5–2 days of classroom  
   • Standard driver road test  
   • Introduction to pneumatic or liquid tank equipment  
   • Initial training start

Following Completion of Onsite Training
• Applicants complete additional road training.

Dry Bulk Drivers
• Return to their home terminal to complete 5–7 days of road training.

Liquid Drivers
• Depending on fleet & domicile, they will either remain in the Greater STL area to complete 1–2 weeks of mandatory road training (regardless of experience) or return to their home terminal to complete mandatory road training.

Liquid Driver Experience Requirements
• Minimum 6 mos previous verified recent t/t liquid tanker experience → must complete 1 week of road training
• Minimum 24+ mos previous verified t/t experience (DV/Reefer/FB) – no previous liquid tanker experience → must complete 2 weeks of road training
