Owner Operator Dump Truck Driver (All Year)

We are seeking owner operator dump truck drivers in the Belvidere IL area to join our Arrow Group!  You are responsible for maintaining your own truck maintenance unless communicated otherwise and are responsible for safely operating the dump truck under FMCSA and DOT guidelines.  Because you will be an Arrow Group owner operator you will be held to the highest standards any professional truck driver needs to be at, and we pride ourselves on great work ethics.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a dump truck and able to load/unload cargo on your own to transport dirt, aggregate, asphalt, and other materials on various job locations

• Properly track and document activity log with Samsara or other ELD software for invoice billing

• Properly communicate daily and report any issues or incidents to dispatch

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on your vehicle with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines

• Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment on your own, unless directed otherwise

• Be on call and available during down time, and have a strong work ethics

• Obey all FMCSA, DOT and company policies and regulations

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age

• Must be a U.S. citizen

• High school diploma or equivalency

• Commercial driver's license with or without endorsements

• Current DOT physical and pass a drug screen

• Pass a criminal background check

• MVR must meet company and DOT standards

• Ability to handle physical workload

Preferred

• Previous 2-year experience with dump trucks, related field or tractor/trailer

• Hazmat, but not needed
