I. Based on assignment, possession of a current and valid Massachusetts Class B CDL Motor Vehicle Operator's license.
Salary placement is determined by a combination of factors, including the candidate’s years of directly related experience and education, and alignment with our internal compensation structure as set forth by the Human Resources Division’s Hiring Guidelines. For all bargaining unit positions (non-management), compensation is subject to the salary provisions outlined in the applicable collective bargaining agreement and will apply to placement within the appropriate salary range.

The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) has an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated, reliable individual with a strong work ethic to fill the Motor Truck Driver position at the Wrentham Developmental Center (WDC).
Duties and Responsibilities: (these duties and responsibilities stated are a general summary and not all inclusive.)
Required Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of the state laws, rules and regulations and safety practices governing motor vehicle operation.
2. Knowledge of the types, characteristics and uses of vehicles, buses and passenger vans.
3. Knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures relative to vehicles.
4. Driving skills in the operation of vehicles such as automobiles, buses, passenger vans, trucks, etc.
5. Ability to read, write and comprehend the in English language.
6. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
7. Ability to maintain accurate records.
8. Ability to exercise sound judgment.
9. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
10. Physical stamina and endurance.
11. Excellent communication skills.
12. Excellent driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal skills.

This position is located at the Wrentham Developmental Center located in Wrentham, MA.
Schedule Information:
Full-time – 40 hour weekly position.
Schedule – Hours - 8\:30 a.m. to 5\:00 p.m.
Days off – Sunday and Saturday
Flexibility required to meet the needs of the program.
