Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Make deliveries to customers and other SSI locations.
  • Ensures load is secure and all paperwork is correct and in order
  • Operates equipment such as forklift, overhead crane, combilift, etc.
  • Ensure company truck is clean, and scheduled maintenance is performed when needed.
  • Assists in the shipping or shop area when not making deliveries.
  • Keeps the work area clean and organized.
  • Performs all duties and areas of responsibility in accordance with established operating procedures to ensure efficiency, quality and conformance to applicable DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
  • May require weekend and night deliveries.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Three to five years job experience or equivalent in demonstrated experience and ability.
  • Must be insurable by corporate insurance carrier
  • Acceptable driving record as defined by DOT regulations.
  • Must meet the physical requirements established by the DOT.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Job requires stooping, bending, climbing, and capability of lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must be able to operate Forklift and Combilift.

Education and Experience:

  • Valid DCL Class A driver's license
  • High school education or GED equivalent
  • General knowledge of Taylor Parts System would be a plus.
