Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) appropriate for haul truck operation.
  • Proven experience operating heavy haul trucks or similar heavy equipment in an industrial or mining environment.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices related to heavy vehicle operation.
  • Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks.
  • Physical ability to handle the demands of the job, including long hours of driving and working in outdoor conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with GPS and other navigation systems used in haul truck operations.
  • Certification in heavy equipment operation or safety training programs.
  • Familiarity with site-specific protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Previous experience working in a team-oriented, fast-paced industrial or mining setting.
  • Basic mechanical skills to assist with minor repairs or troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate haul trucks to transport materials between designated locations on site.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the haul truck to ensure it is in safe working condition and report any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Follow all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for oneself and others.
  • Coordinate with the trucking foreman, site supervisors, and other team members to efficiently schedule and prioritize hauling tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of loads transported, hours worked, and any incidents or delays encountered during operations.
