Position Purpose:

Drive product to customer sites and representing our products and services in a professional manner while maintaining the integrity of our company.

Primary Role Expectations:

  • Responsible for delivering materials to customer locations and jobsites using the most efficient route available, often oversized loads.
  • Ensure that delivery schedules are met while providing a friendly and professional service at a delivery site.
  • Assist with loading and/or unloading of materials.
  • Maintain driver logs of miles per week.
  • Maintain truck fuel usage per week.
  • Comply with all Federal and State DOT highway rules and regulations.
  • Ensure safe operation of equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements.
  • Determine condition of vehicle by inspecting vehicle before and after use, logging inspection and report any defect issues to the Fleet Manager immediately.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Good attendance record & job reviews.
  • Must have a valid class A CDL driver’s license.
  • Familiar with Federal and State Department of Transportation regulations.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Agree to random picks for DOT drug screening.
  • Strong ability to work effectively with diverse individuals from management to floor employees.
  • Appropriate language, reasoning, and mathematical skills. Wear company issues apparel during working hours.
  • Job includes task that the supervisor assigns.

Physical Requirements:

  • Perform the position’s physical functions with extensive mobility and ease including walking, sitting, standing, bending, talking, hearing, seeing, and using hands to operate tools necessary for the job; the employee must be able to move or lift up-to 80 lbs.
  • Maintain current DOT physical card.
