Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment, wiring, and fixtures to ensure reliable operation.
  • Inspection and Testing: Inspect and test electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance with codes.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs, installations, and maintenance activities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments to coordinate projects and ensure timely completion of tasks.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of relevant electrical work experience, including proficiency in the installation, maintenance, repair, testing, and adjustment of electrical equipment.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certifying technical training program in electrical maintenance or an electrician's apprenticeship is preferred.
  • Licensure: Possession of a valid [State] Class AA Electrician License or equivalent certification.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and codes; skilled in the use of hand and power tools, as well as testing equipment such as voltmeters and ammeters.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform tasks that require physical strength, such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication abilities; capable of working collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
