Class A Truck Driver - Special Projects

We’re looking for an experienced Class A Driver to join us as a Special Projects Driver. In this important role, you’ll help drive the success of new and existing business, ensuring smooth operations and high safety standards. As a key part of our team, you’ll travel often and play a crucial role in shaping TCI’s future. Compensation:

• Pay: $35 per hour plus overtime pay after 40 hours
• Travel Per Diem: $50 per night (M-F), $100 per night (Sat -Sun)

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel: Be prepared to travel on short notice (up to 75% travel depending on TCI needs). May need to layover in sleeper trucks. 
• Communication: Stay in close contact with Project Managers and Ops Managers, especially when on special assignment.
• Safety: Maintain high safety scores, accident-free record, and ensure safety remains the #1 priority.
• Leadership: Oversee daily operations, coordinate activities, and provide guidance to drivers.
• Training: Train and monitor drivers on company policies, state and federal regulations, and operational procedures.
• Compliance: Use Samsara apps and other tools for compliance monitoring and driver-related processes.
• Equipment Care: Ensure all equipment is in good working order and perform basic maintenance tasks.

What You Need to Succeed:

• Experience: Minimum 6 months with TCI or a Lead Driver position in the company, plus 3+ years of verified driving experience.
• Certifications: Doubles, Triples, Tankers, and a TWIC Card are preferred. Cannot have an automatic restriction. 
• Skills: Superuser-level experience with Samsara, ADP, and other driver-related apps. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Safety Record: Satisfactory Idelic and Safety Scores

• Physical Requirements: Ability to operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and lift gate trailers.
