Position Overview

Global Environmental & Industrial Response (GEIR) is seeking dedicated Vacuum Truck Drivers/Jet Truck Drivers with a Class A or Class B CDL to join our growing team. This hands-on position involves approximately 20% driving and 80% manual labor, including moving hoses, off-loading at facilities, and participating in various onsite operations.


Essential Functions

  • Drive and operate vacuum trucks and related equipment on site and transport equipment between job sites as assigned.
  • Engage in strenuous, practical, and manual activities daily, including assisting technicians onsite.
  • Operate light and heavy equipment such as blasting equipment, vacuum trucks, hoses, and more.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects.
  • Work in confined spaces and elevated areas, as well as in hot, wet, cold, and potentially foul-smelling environments during 8–12-hour shifts.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Class A or Class B CDL
  • Tanker Endorsement
  • Hazmat Endorsement preferred 
  • Current DOT Medical Card
  • Registered in the DOT Clearinghouse is
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean 3-year motor vehicle record.
  • Must pass background check and drug test
  • Ability to carry/move up to 50 lbs.
  • Capable of performing manual labor outdoors in various weather and environmental conditions
  • Willingness to work in confined and elevated spaces, and to use a respirator; may be required to be clean-shaven
  • Ability to work shifts longer than 8 hours as needed, including emergency callouts
  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience with tools and heavy equipment (preferred)
  • Prior industry experience is a plus

 

Pay

  • $23.50 - $29.00/hour DOE (Pay is commensurate with prior experience)
