Drive a vehicle with a capacity greater than 26,000 GVW. Main activities include the pick up or delivery goods, packages or equipment. May be required to load or unload contents of the vehicle. Requires commercial driver license.

Description

This is a full-time, direct hire position on our first shift, Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm, plus overtime when business warrant, during the week and/or on Saturdays. 

The essential duties of the Class A Driver position include, but are not limited to:

• Daily fleet vehicle pre and post trip inspection.
• Adherence to Carefree’s FMCSA program requirements.
• Driving and delivery of products to customer locations within a 200 mile radius.
• Loading and unloading of goods to/from fleet vehicles.
• Fueling of the company fleet vehicles.
• Verification of both paperwork (packing slips, bills of lading, etc.) and goods delivered.
• Assist in the picking and preparation of out shop goods and other products.
• Work to consolidate, clean, etc. Elkhart Warehouse when available.
• Forklift certification will be required for this position.

Qualifications include but are not limited to:

• Valid Class A Certification
• Previous Class A driving experience required, warehouse experience preferred
• Proven attendance and work record
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs consistently throughout shift
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Ability to present Carefree positively in the community and at customer facilities
• Ability to be flexible and work in a high volume, fast-paced environment

Compensation and Benefits

The pay rate for this position is anticipated to be between $25 and $28 hourly.
