Stepp’s Towing & Heavy Transport is seeking experienced Heavy Haul Transport Drivers to join our team! We’re looking for Class A CDL drivers with a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and excellent problem-solving abilities. This local/regional position involves hauling high, wide, and heavy loads using lowboy, Landoll, step-deck, flatbed trailers, and heavy-duty rollbacks.
Manual transmissions only—no slip seating!
All drivers must have their own set of tools once assigned to a truck.
Essential Functions
- Maneuver tractor and trailers into loading/unloading positions, following signals from crew and ensuring safe positioning
- Pull trailers configured with tow bars or goosenecks as needed
- Load and unload trucks, operate special loading equipment, and assist others as required
- Secure equipment for transport using ropes, chains, binders, etc.
- Operate multi-axle trailers for heavy equipment transport
- Use GPS mapping effectively
- Work in all weather conditions
Physical Requirements
- Lifting, crawling, pulling, frequent use of hands, bending, reaching, and climbing

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Class A CDL with at least 2 years of verifiable experience
- Current DOT Medical Card
- TWIC Card ( within 30 days of hire)
- HAZMAT endorsement ( within 90 days of hire)
- Registered in the DOT Clearinghouse
- Clean driving record ( for at least the last 3 years)
- MUST be able to pass a background check and drug test
- Experience with heavy equipment hauling required
- MUST be able to drive manual transmission trucks
Commission Pay:
- 25% Commission- Our drivers on average earn $1,200 - $1,500+ a week.
- Pay guarantee of $1000/week (whichever is greater)
- This pay structure should not be misconstrued as a salary-paid position.
