Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsement, must be able to drive a standard/stick shift truck. 80% of the job comprises filling gas tanks at a station, the other 20% would be driving the argon truck to customers. Also on occasion will be driving the Co2 truck to gas stations to refill their Co2 tanks. Must know how to drive both trucks.Β Looking for someoneΒ comfortable driving in Mobile Β weather (rain/ thunderstorms). This person will be going in front of customers, will need to be professional always. Prefers someone with at least 1 year driving a tractor trailer truck of some kind.Β Heavy lifting is involved. Driving vehicles to transport hazardous materials
Inspecting the condition of the vehicle before and after use
Keeping a log of their activities and the condition of the vehicle
Comply with hazardous material regulations and procedures
Ensuring that all required safety equipment is available and in working order
Reporting any incidents or accidents involving hazardous materials
Loading and unloading of hazardous materials, ensuring they are properly secured
Conducting safety inspections and maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant work environment
Receiving instructions regarding the materials to be transported and delivery locations
Undertaking necessary steps in case of a hazardous spill, including containment and notification of proper authorities
Maintain and renew required hazmat certifications
Requirements
Valid Commercial Driverβs License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement
Proven experience as a Hazmat Driver
Knowledge of local, state, and federal Hazmat transportation regulations
Excellent driving record
Strong physical condition to load and unload cargo
Excellent time management and routing planning skills
