Job Summary
We are seeking Commercial vehicle drivers to deliver various grades of gasoline to local business fleets in the Phoenix area.. Β Β All routes are local. Β Drivers never go further than 100 miles from the terminal. The starting rate is $28.00, with an increase to $28.50 at 90 days.Β Drivers also earn a quarterly incentive bonus based on the number of gallons they deliver.Β Β Benefits include medical insurance for the Driver and qualified dependents, with coverage effective 30 days after employment, a 401 (k) plan with a matching contribution of up to 4%, PTO time accrual starting at 90 days, and Uniform reimbursement for Drivers.
This role requires schedule coverage at night/overnight.Β
The Duties and Responsibilities of the Driver Position include, but are not limited to:
- Drive company-owned commercial vehicles with various grades of gasoline.
- Directly pump gas from the tanker to the customer vehicle/asset.
- Ensure that safety and best practices are always followed.
- Maintain regular communication with logistics coordinators.
- Follows all route guidance.
- Completes required safety pre- and post-inspections.
- Utilize company technology to manage fuel inventory and customer delivery requirements accurately.
- Complies with all state and local DOT laws.
- Fills tankers with needed fuel for delivery.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Valid Β CDL A or B
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience.
- Hazmat endorsement for at least 1 year.
- Tanker endorsement for at least 1 year,
- Completed a formal driver training program is a plus.
- No major violations (reckless driving, fleeing the scene, accident resulting in serious injury or death, speeds greater than 20 mph in a given zone, drug or alcohol related).
- Pass background checks, including Motor Vehicle Report.
- Clear a pre-employment drug screening.
- No more than 3 moving violations in the prior 36-month period.
- Team players demonstrate flexibility.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Some weekend availability.
Physical requirements
- Must be able to get in and out of the truck multiple times per shift.
- Must be able to carry hoses weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to climb ladders.
