DEPARTMENT: CESCO Solutions, a Tidal Vision Company 

REPORTS TO: Operations Manager 

STATUS: Non-exempt 

LOCATION: Bellingham, WA 

SALARY RANGE: $27.00 - $30.45/hour

JOB SUMMARY:

The Class A Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of Cesco products to customers and the pickup of raw materials and empty containers. The scope of delivery includes Washington, British Columbia, Oregon and Idaho. Limited overnight travel will be required. This position also involves inspecting vehicles/equipment, performing basic maintenance, and ensuring DOT compliance.

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Operate and work within our Mission Driven Culture Core Values and Principles.
  • Make specialty chemical product deliveries to customers, pick up raw materials, and return empty containers in a courteous, safe, professional, and timely manner.
  • Scope of delivery includes Washington, British Columbia, Oregon and Idaho. Limited overnight travel will be required.
  • Operate class III, IV forklifts safely for various tasks.
  • Deliver single drums to customers with the use of a manual drum dolly.
  • Inspect vehicles/equipment prior to usage.
  • Report vehicle/equipment service items and DOT compliance issues to the supervisor.
  • Assist in the loading of finished specialty chemical products for shipment.
  • Participate in training & safety related activities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Class A CDL license.
  • Ability to pass a drug test post-employment to maintain DISA standards.
  • Ability to make deliveries to Canada.
  • Posses HAZMAT Certification or can gain HAZMAT certification.
  • Possess a Tankers Certification.
  • High school diploma. (preferred)
  • Basic computer competency.
  • Total commitment to safety and quality.

  • Willing to take responsibility to find solutions and improvements for everyday challenges 

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to react decisively (safely) if emergency conditions materialize (appropriate chemical spill and first aid response).
  • Able to work in a standing position for extended periods (up to several hours at a time, between normal work breaks).
  • Must be able to climb ladders, maneuver chemical drums, and work around various heavy industrial equipment.
  • Must be able to hand stack 55# bags & maneuver 55 gallon drums with a manual drum dolly.
  • Working with hazardous substances that require proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). 

Licensing & Special Requirements:

  • Incumbent is subject to a background check.
