POSITION OVERVIEW

The CDL-A Driver will haul freight regionally in the southeast and central US. The commodities hauled consist of a variety of items such as frozen and refrigerated CPG (consumer packaged goods), dairy, poultry, and other commodities.The driver will operate as a solo driver +90% of the time. There may be team loads from time to time.

This position offers a combination of reliable weekly pay and consistent freight volume.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Operate CDL Class A tractor and reefer trailer in compliance with all DOT regulations.
• Schedule flexibility, ability to work variable days of the week, including weekends
• Adhere to safe trucking practices and laws as defined by state regulations and the FMSCA
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate ELD logs
• Ensure freight arrives safely and on schedule
• Communicate effectively with dispatch
• Follow food safety and transportation requirements
• Maintain clean and professional equipment
• Represent FreightFishers with professionalism and integrity

• Operate mobile phones, ELD systems, and related technology

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid CDL Class A License, minimum 1 year experience
• Recent tractor-trailer driving experience
• Reefer experience preferred
• Clean MVR with no major violations within the last 3 years
• Ability to pass DOT drug screening and background check
• Ability to pass the Clearinghouse query
• Strong safety mindset and dependable work ethic
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Open to be on-call as needed
