We’re hiring Class A drivers out of Chesapeake, VA for a dedicated major retail account. This is 100% touch freight — you unload trailers by hand using rollers, racks, and load bars. Typical week: depart at night, unload early morning, be home for the weekend reset. Expect ~1,000 miles/week.
Pay & Benefits
- $0.90 per mile
- Average $1,800 weekly
- $300 orientation pay (first paycheck)
- $100 weekly safety bonus
- $240 unload pay per trailer
- $40 short-haul pay (under 51 miles)
- $20 stop pay per stop
- Benefits after 30 days: Medical, Dental, Vision; 401(k); Paid Time Off
Schedule & Home Time
Night departures → early-morning store deliveries → home weekends (34-hour reset). Occasional Saturday runs.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months verifiable CDL-A experience
- Must be 21 years old with a valid CDL-A license
- Clean MVR and PSP reports
- Live within 70 miles of ZIP 23320 (Chesapeake, VA)
