For the last 50 years, it has been dedicated to the principles and standards of Thoroughbred and Standardbred horse breeding/training/racing. Position Summaries:
The Horse Truck Driver is responsible for transporting the horses.
Your Role:
- Transport horses safely between farms, races, and/or other equine events.
- Load and unload horses in a safe manner
- Hook the trailer to the truck
- Accurately maintain a logbook
- Ensure the truck is well-maintained and clean
- Report incidents to the manager
- Assist with general stud duties
- Day and overnight trips to other farms and training when necessary.
- Maintains reasonable, regular, and punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Adapts to changing duties, as required, based on business needs
Your Skills:
- Transporting horses with experience preferred
- Multi-tasking abilities
- Good oral communication and organizational skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Card
- Have a good attitude and participate as a member of the team.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
