REPORTS TO: Lead Driver, Inventory Manager

FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt

WAGE: $18.00/hr - $19.50/hr.

SUMMARY: 

Whether delivering matcha, cafe equipment, or plants, the Driver is responsible for delivering supplies from Alfred Headquarters to all Los Angeles cafes. A clean driving record is a must to ensure our  products arrive safely. If you love the open road and have an eye for detail, you will be the perfect fit. Diligent  pickups and deliveries need to be double checked before cruising to and from headquarters. As needed, you will deliver supplies to the cafes, pick up supplies, and run office errands delegated by the Inventory and Lead Driver.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Assist with the receiving and unloading of pallets, and transferring supplies to headquarters in an organized  
• fashion. 
• Maintain and organize all paper supplies and packaged goods to ensure a safe working environment. 
• Responsible for assisting the Inventory Manager &  Assistant with the cleanliness and maintenance of headquarters. 
• Complete product deliveries to the cafes as needed. 
• Abide by all company policies and safety regulations, as well as motor vehicle traffic regulations (rules of the road). No cell phones on duty, especially when driving. 
• Assist Inventory Assistant in inventory management. Every item matters! 
• Perform other duties as assigned: packing, moving and setting up of furniture, equipment, etc. 
• If parking violation tickets or vehicle traffic regulation tickets are issued while using the company vehicle, Driver will be responsible for all fines listed on violations.  
• Supports occasional deliveries for Calidad 1-2x per month.  
• Supports occasional deliveries for CEO 1-3x per week.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED: 

• High school diploma (preferred). 
• A valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record.  
• A passion for the Alfred brand. 
• Ability to stand, sit, bend and to lift and carry up to 50 lbs for medium distances.
• Must be able to work overtime.
• Well-organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task. 
• A natural team player and leader with a consistently positive attitude. 
• Must have effective problem solving/decision making abilities. 
• This position will require frequent standing and use of hands and arms. Regularly required to handle food, hot beverages, and work with sharp objects. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Ability to stand continuously within a busy café environment.
