The Driver is responsible for transporting raw materials from multiple offsite locations to the Companyโs production facility, as well as transporting finished goods from the Companyโs production facility to multiple offsite locations in the general vicinity (local drops). This also includes operating all transportation equipment (tractor, trailer) in a manner which complies with all Food Safety/Defense, GMP, and HACCP standards and requirements, as well as the safe and timely transportation of raw materials and finished goods. In limited cases, a delivery may also be regional. This position reports to the Manager of Inventory Control.

Essential Functions: Key job responsibilities for which the position is held accountable, other duties may also be assigned:
- Maintain the companyโs cold chain related to all temperature-controlled materials and finished goods.
- Responsible for the safe, timely, accurate, multi-order, multi-location, pick-up and delivery of multi-temp food grade raw materials and finished products.
- Professional, courteous, helpful interaction with customers, 3PLs, and other offsite locations, in a manner that best represents CRK and Tinaโs.
- Perform daily (shift) inspections to ensure the Companyโs tractor and trailers are in exemplary working order, safe order, clean condition (inside and out), while complying with all Food Safety/Defense, GMP, and HACCP standards associated with the transportation of food ingredients and products.
- Carry and maintain all necessary shipment paperwork (Bill of Lading, packing list, other documents, etc.).
- Carry and maintain all necessary paperwork to operate all transportation equipment (registration, insurance).
- Validate each order/load before delivery to ensure it meets quantity, condition, vs. the bill of lading and maintain detailed, comprehensive, delivery log.
- Safely operate the vehicle in all types of weather conditions, observing all commercial vehicle/driver safety requirements, speed limits, traffic signs, conduct safety when driving.
- Responsible for familiarity of pick-up and delivery routes.
- Maintain and return all processed paperwork relating to pick-ups and deliveries (PODs, endorsed Bills of Lading, etc.).
- Provide excellent customer service relating to all pick-up and deliveries.
- Must have previous experience in operating a stand-up forklift.
Management Qualifications & Tools Required for Success:
Minimum of 3 yearsโ local multi-temp, food delivery/trucking experience.
- Must be experienced driving a Manual Transmission Tractor
High school diploma or GED.
Must be 21 years of age.
Valid Class A, CDL license and clean driving record.
A โSafety Firstโ mindset.
Ability to follow instructions, attention to detail.
Excellent time management and communication skills.
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Must have at least 2 years of experience driving a Forklift โ Sit-down or Stand-up
Physical Requirements:
Employee must have the ability to lift 50 lbs. onto waist-high shelves.
Employee must have the ability to carry/lift to 10-55 lbs.
Frequent bending at waist/knees
Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers.
