Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Fuel/Lube Truck Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for delivering fuel and lubricants to heavy equipment, trucks on various job sites, ensuring timely service and compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Valid Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (required).
  • 2+ years of commercial driving experience.
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening.
  • Knowledge of fuel handling procedures and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in outdoor conditions.

Job responsibilities

  • Operate fuel/lube truck to deliver petroleum products and lubricants to equipment and designated locations.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and inventory records.
  • Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards.
  • Assist with routine maintenance and cleaning of the truck and fueling equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding delivery schedules.
  • Safely navigate active construction sites and work around moving equipment.
  • Adhere to spill prevention and response procedures; immediately report any leaks or spills.

Position Type and Hours of Work

  • Full time
  • Overtime available
  • Monday-Friday
  • Occasional Saturday

Physical Requirements

  • Lift, push, or pull up to 50-100 lbs regularly (hoses, nozzles, spill kits, etc.).
  • Climb in and out of the fuel truck multiple times per shift (cab height + access ladder on tank).
  • Bend, kneel, crouch, and reach to attach hoses, open fuel caps, and perform inspections.
  • Stand and walk on uneven ground and around heavy equipment for extended periods.
  • Operate heavy hose lines (often 1"-2" diameter, 20-50 ft hoses) requiring upper-body strength.
  • Tolerate exposure to diesel/gasoline odors, fumes, weather conditions, and noisy environments.
  • Good hand-eye coordination for controlling fuel flow and operating valves.
  • Ability to wear PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hats, and reflective vests.

Environmental Conditions

  • Work performed outdoors in heat, cold, rain, mud, dust, and on uneven terrain.
  • Frequent exposure to moving construction equipment and traffic.
  • Work may begin early mornings, late evenings, or involve overtime/weekends depending on project needs.
