Box Truck Driver

Job location: W160 S6609 Commerce Drive, Muskego, Wisconsin 53150

We are seeking an experienced Box Truck Driver to serve our Shipping and Receiving Department in a safe and timely manner. Must have a Class B license.

Responsibilities

• Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants in Wisconsin and Northern Illinois using Company-owned box truck
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform general preventative maintenance
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with Company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions/pack lists
• Report defects, accidents, or violations
• Assist in Shipping/Receiving Department when not on the road

Skills

• Proven work experience as a truck driver
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
• Class B - Valid Driver License
